Splish Splash!
I took Zachary to my mom's neighborhood pool today because it was so hot! He had so much fun playing with his cousins, Rachel and Victoria. They had been spending the week with my Grandmother while their parents were on a Mission Trip. What Zachary loved the most was splashing water in their faces and hearing them scream. He would laugh so hard . We bought him a Duck Float to use in the water but all he wanted to do was put the ducks face in the water and tell it to drink the water. He had such a great time today. That was definitely a great way to keep cool on such a HOT day!

Lollipop, Lollipop, Oh Lolli Lollipop!
I added a video clip of Zachary and his first lollipop. If you scroll down to the bottom you can click on it to play it. Before you play the video make sure to pause the music on my playlist!
Bye Bye Passey, Hello Mickey!
Well... Zachary doesn't have a pacifier anymore! This is really sad because it was the one thing that he has had since he was born. We decided to give him the choice of sleeping with a "Mickey Mouse" stuffed animal or his pacifier. Of course he wanted both but when he grabbed Mickey we told him no passey. Broken-hearted, he only cried for about 5 minutes and then he fell asleep. He was so cute when he tucked Mickey in with him and was holding him tightly. He hasn't had a passey during the day for a while now so we only had to worry about bed time. Zachary hasn't had a pacifier since Sunday!

* I am not sure if passey is a word but that is what Zachary called it!

Go Twisters!
Zachary and I went to watch my brother's baseball game. Zachary loves going to his Uncle Rudy's games. In case you were wondering Jake/Rudy is the same person. The team is a 16 & under AAA team. My dad and my other brother Billy are the coaches. I guess you could say, it's a "family affair". Their first game was at 11:00am, so it wasn't extremely hot but by their second game at 1:00 we were about to have a heat stroke. They won their first game but lost their second. Zachary loves running the bases with his Poppy. He kept saying, "Again Poppy, again." He looks so little on the baseball field. It's hard to believe that it won't be long before my dad will start all over coaching T-ball and teaching Zachary all about Poppy's favorite sport. If you want to see more on the Twisters you can go to their website. I definitely see baseball in Zachary's future! Go Twisters!

Splash Pad Playdate!
Today Zachary had a fun playdate. We met Rachel and Abby,(they go to our church), at Splash Pad in Kannapolis. They had so much fun! It took Zachary a few minutes to warm up, but after that he really enjoyed it. There were quite a few kids there from a day camp. I think seeing all the kids screaming and running made it hard for Abby and Zachary to play on their own. After Zachary and Abby had enough of the water area we went on a train ride. Zachary loved riding the train. It was a dollar well spent. The only part that he didn't like was the whistle, he kept saying, "loud mommy, loud"! We definitely want to do this again. Thanks for such a great playdate Rachel and Abby!!

V-Smile Baby!
Zachary got a lot of toys for Christmas last year. We saved of few for him to enjoy as he got older. His V-Smile Baby was one of them. He thinks it is his own little computer. It nice because I can alo hookit up in our van and he can play it on the DVD player. He loves his Barney game the most. He can also play it without hooking it to a T.V. but he is not interested in that as much. Thanks Nanny and Poppy!

Happy 4th of July!
I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July! Our 4th started by going to the Indian Trail Parade. We thought that it started at 10:00 so we got there at 9:30. After waiting 30 minutes we saw a sign that said the parade starts at 11:30. That was okay because we had a great seat to see the parade (the back of our van). Jon and Jennifer and their girls met us there and we all watched the parade together. The kids loved waving to all the floats. They enjoyed catching the candy. Taylor got the hang of that pretty quick. She had a bag full when it was all over. After the parade we came back home and put Zachary down for a nap. We went over to my mom's house for a cookout. We had such a great time. After dinner we headed down town to see the fireworks. For years now we have always watched the fireworks at Saint Mary's Chapel. It's such a great view. The fireworks are right on top of you. Zachary enjoyed throwing Pop Rocks at his Poppy's feet. He would laugh so hard when my dad would jump! Once the fireworks started Zachary was scared. About 10 minutes in he started to watch them without squeezing your neck off. Overall I think he enjoyed them. He liked seeing all the different colors. We were all very tired on the way home but we had a great 4th!

One fish, two fish, red white and blue fish!
Tonight we went to a July 4th Extravaganza that was put on by the company my dad works for. It was held at Sun City in SC. We had a great time! They cooked hamburgers and hot dogs along with many different sides for dinner. They also had ice cream and cotton candy for the kids. They told everyone to bring there fishing poles because there was a pond and you could fish if you wanted to. My mom and I thought that it would be fun to see how Zachary liked fishing, so we ran by Walmart and picked up a fishing rod for him. We found him a Lighting McQueen Rod. We also bought the cheapest hook they had (we weren't thinking we were going to catch anything). Well..... little did we know! We took Zachary down to the pond and we threw the line out in the water a few times. He would take the fishing rod and reel it back in ( he was pretty good at this). After the third time we told him just one more time because we had to go back to our chairs so we could watch the fireworks. We threw the line out one last time, Zachary tried to reel it back in but something kept pulling it back in the water. We thought that it was nothing at first until my dad took the fishing rod and slowly reeled it in and this is what was on the other end!

Water Water and more Water contd.
Today was a great day to go to the pool so that is exactly what Zachary and I did. We met the Collins crew up there and the kids had the best time. Zachary loved having a water fight with Taylor. He is feeling moresecure every time we go. He is standing and walking in the water all by himself. After being at the pool for hours I am so thankful that we only have a five minute walk back home.
